I absolutely understand the important of protecting your servers. I wonder, though, if a security orb in the sky would have served the same purpose.

I should visit your sim again to see how things have progressed. There were many professional elements that made it attractive. I hope it's more interactive these days.

I'll admit to being irritated when projects that obviously cost a lot of money and took a lot of talent are, although beautiful, sterile, with no sounds, no wildlife, no interactivity. I was probably in a grouchy mood when I visited.
Cheyenne Palisadeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17857731023321638792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5780662684766869666.post-70671142073677127562018-10-01T15:12:06.542-04:002018-10-01T15:12:06.542-04:00I realize this is literally years after the fact b...I realize this is literally years after the fact but just so you know... the red fence was there to protect a tiny skybox many meters up that ran the inworld scripts that delivered Linden Dollars to Residents. We tried operating the scripts without a red fence but griefers would find the scripts and mess with the objects. The main purpose of the sim was to operate those scripts or there would be no service to speak of. So yes, we picked a bunch of people, some very talented and yes cool folks who were rocking the grid at the time to help us make the sim more than just a script repository and something meaningful that contributed to SL. We were very passionate about SL in those days and genuinely saw it as the flagship to the Metaverse. I wish I would have seen your post years ago because I would have given you access to that fence to show you the script objects. Putting them in another sim would've defeated why we bought the sim in the first place. Peace. -Max MarchMax Marchhttp://maxmarch.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5780662684766869666.post-21687551214617595462018-05-10T15:16:00.023-04:002018-05-10T15:16:00.023-04:00Il love thatIl love thatAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5780662684766869666.post-88942978825739073422018-01-17T09:10:44.629-05:002018-01-17T09:10:44.629-05:00Pele does not accept human sacrifics. Wee were 850 miles apart (fortunately, in the same time zone), both women, and we were of different ages. Maintaining a relationship in Second Life was a challenge, and who ever heard of an SL relationship going to first life?

Sweetie and I have been married since April, 2015, going on three years ago. I sold my home and moved 850 miles to be with her (I was retired, so it was relatively easy to relocated), and we bought a home together. We maintain our accounts in Second Life, but haven't bee, in world lately. That, I think, is about to change, as I am finally getting my desktop computer eassembled and Sweetie replaced her doorstop iBook with a kickass Alienware laptop.
Cheyenne Palisadeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17857731023321638792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5780662684766869666.post-36449583070096965612017-12-31T12:43:28.361-05:002017-12-31T12:43:28.361-05:00All these years later and I just discovered I misp...All these years later and I just discovered I mispelled my friend Melissa's name!Cheyenne Palisadeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17857731023321638792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5780662684766869666.post-53194708569084208942017-05-28T14:51:15.539-04:002017-05-28T14:51:15.539-04:00Wishes you luck... 9 years later.
